How to increase the nutritive value of tomato rasam and jeera rice
Tomato rasam with jeera rice is not a complete meal. The dish is rich in anti-oxidant lycopene, cooked tomatoes have a higher content of the same. Rice is rich in carbs. The dish lacks in proteins and fibre if considered for a meal.
However to increase the fibre content
-have a bowl of salad or
-add vegetables to rice
Similarly to increase protein content one can
-add panir or chicken pieces to rice or
-add dal to rasam preparation or
-have a bowl of sprouts or channa or moong along with this preparation.
