Multigrain Idli
We gave a little healthy twist to the regular idli by trying multigrain idlis.
Along with complete proteins, gut friendly bacteria, an attempt to make it iron, calcium and fibre rich too.
Ingredients
1 cup multigrain daliya
½ cup Moong dal
2-3 whole red chilies
1tsp whole Corriender seeds
1tsp Jeera
1/2 tsp fruit salt
1 teaspoon salt or as per taste
Method
Rinse and soak Daliya and Moongdal for 4 to 5 hours.
Grind the Moong dal, daliya, red chillies, Corriender seeds, jeera.
Adjust the water amount depending on the consistency of the batter.
Mix very well ,add salt, pour the batter in greased idli moulds, place the idli stand in the hot water in idli cooker and steam idlis for 12 minutes.
You can also make dosa or uttapas Out of this.
Serve Multigrain idli with coconut chutney and veg sambar.
