WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

About 12% of the world’s population is somehow affected by mental disorders. This comes to about 1 out of 4 people or almost 500 million people who suffer from mental illness.

Every 40 seconds, someone loses their life to suicide.

This year’s theme is suicide prevention and reaching out to those who are struggling. And here’s what you can do to improve your mental health.

🧠Eat a well-balanced diet. Healthy eating can help prevent and manage several health conditions, including depression. “जैसा अन वैसा मन”
🧠Include Omega 3 fatty acids which are critical for positive mood, focus, promote thinking and memory. Thus help ward off dementia and Alzheimer’s.
🧠Make exercise and physical activity a part of your daily routine.
🧠Get enough sleep, which helps your brain to restart the next day.

🧠Get routine health check-up done
🧠Take help of a mental health professional if needed
