Why you should eat more:

These substances boost the immune system because they are anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory, which helps the body fight infections.

Examples of white foods include garlic, onions, cauliflower,mushroom,banana, pear and  radish.
Try: Tucking in to some in-season potatoes, mushrooms or adding a crushed onion, garlic clove to soups, stews and stir-fries.
