All in one pattice

Mixed Vegetable daliya pulses pattice

Easy to make , a healthy duet of grains plus pulses and veggies. All in one meal providing  calories from right source, rich in proteins and fibre.

For a lacatating mother it provides complex source of calories, fibre, satiety, proteins, veggies help in providing hydration and antioxidants and helps in milk production.

Ingredients

Assorted veggies

Potatoes boiled and mashed 1

French beans chopped 5-6

Beetroot grated 1 medium

Carrot grated 1

Capsicum chopped 1

Onion chopped 1

Daliya (broken whole wheat) and moongdal  ½ cup cooked

Rawa (semolina) ¼ cup

Oil 2 tablespo to shallow fry

Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon

Ginger Green chillies paste 1 teaspoon

Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Chat masala ½ tsp

Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

Can also add paneer, boiled soya chunks, mix pulses or legumes to increase the protein content

For Lactating (breast feeding) mothers you can add sprouted methi seeds, bottle gourd (dudhi)

Method

Cook daliya and moongdal with just enough water in a pressure cooker.

Take a bowl add all the ingredients mix well,

Add coriander leaves and adjust salt. Add lemon juice and mix. Heat sufficient oil in another pan.

Take a portion of the mixture, shape into a ball, add rawa if needed for binding.

Press lightly and place the cutlet in the pan. Shallow-fry till both the sides are evenly golden.

Drain and place on an absorbent paper and serve hot.
